"HK G-Share" Domestic Resources Sharing Platform - User Guide
Welcome and thank you for using the HK G-Share Domestic Resources Sharing Platform. Through this e-platform, you can become our Contribution Star to share your reusable resources to other Reuse Stars. You may also become our Reuse Star by reusing the resources which are shared by other Contribution Stars in order to fully utilise the reusable items.

To contribute items:

1. Register as a HK G-Share user for free

• Please click “Register” on the top right-hand corner of the website or HERE.
  
• Fill in the information for registration.
  
• Read the Terms and Conditions of the platform carefully and if you agree to the Terms and Conditions, please check the box in front of the sentence “By creating an account, I agree to the above Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.  I also agree that items received from this site are solely for personal use and not for commercial use.”
• Click “Sign Up”. A confirmation email with your login ID and password will be sent to your registered mailbox. The email may be classified as a spam mail. Please check your spam mailbox if you cannot receive the confirmation email.

• Please click “Login” on the top right-hand corner of the website or HERE.
• Fill in your login ID (your email address) and password as shown in the confirmation email and click “Login”.

• Click “Contribute” in “My Account” or “Contribute Here” on the left-hand side of the Domestic Resources Sharing Platform.
• Select the category and sub-category of your contributed item, upload item photo(s) with file size no bigger than 2MB; fill in the item name and description. Then click “Contribute”.
• The information of your contributed item will then be submitted. The administrator will approve your contributed item as soon as possible.
• You can always manage your contributed item(s) under “Contributed Items” in “My Account”.

• If a Reuse Star is interested in receiving your contributed item, he / she will contact you through item request, private messages or comments on wall.
• If you receive a request for your contributed item, you can view the rating of the Reuse Stars who have sent the item requests under “Contributed Items” in “My Account” and decide whose item request is to be accepted.
• After accepting the item request, please liaise with the Reuse Star for the pick-up arrangement.  

• After the pick-up, please be reminded to change the status of the contributed item to “Transaction Completed” under “Contributed Items” in “My Account”. 
• Please do rate and comment on the Reuse Star. Rating and comments can act as references to other Contribution Stars to determine if the Reuse Star is a rogue user.

• Please click “Login” on the top right-hand corner or HERE.
• Fill in your login ID (your email address) and password as shown in the confirmation email and click “Login”.  

• To find a reusable item by category: click on the categories and sub-categories of the items on the domestic resources sharing platform on the left-hand side of the website. 
• To find a reusable item by keyword(s): enter the keyword(s) in the search box on the left-hand side of the website, then click the adjacent “magnifying glass” icon.

• Click “Request” on the page of the item that you want to get. 
• Your request will be shown in the Contribution Star’s Account.
• You may always manage your requested item(s), send private messages, or delete requests under “Requested Items” in “My Account”.
• Wait for the Contribution Star to accept or reject your request(s).
• After the item request is accepted, please liaise with the Contribution Star for the pick-up arrangement. 

• Please do rate and comment on the Contribution Star after the pick-up. 
• Rating and comments can act as references to other Reuse Stars to determine if the Contribution Star is a rogue user.  

• Items that violate the laws of Hong Kong are restricted on this platform.
• Restrictions also apply to but are not limited to the following: electrical products without valid Certificates of Safety Compliance, counterfeit items, infringing/ unauthorised copies/ items, alcohol and wine, food and drink, animals and wildlife products, credit cards, calling cards, drug or drug-like substances, prescription drugs, obscene/ indecent articles including those violent materials, firearms, weapons and knives, cars and vehicles, all uniforms, human parts and remains, real estate and tobacco.
• The Hong Kong Green Building Council Limited (HKGBC) reserves the right to remove the user's comments, suspend the user's account or take any legal action without prior notice if the user violates the above rules.
• All received items cannot be sold, resold or served for commercial purpose.
